The second group of doctors is undergoing training in Poland
Within the framework of the working program of cooperation between the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara and the Office of the Silesian Voivodeship for 2015-2016, two doctors of the Adjara Cancer Center are in Poland for a specialized training course.
Technician Guram Shengelia and physicist Revaz Turmanidze undergo a training course at the Department of Radiology and Imaging Diagnostics of the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Cancer Center. The medics left for Silesia on August 16 and will return home on August 29.
In July of this year, three more doctors from the Adjarian Cancer Center underwent a training course at the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Cancer Center.
An agreement on the implementation of these projects was reached with the Office of the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship in April 2016 during the visit of the Minister of Health of Adjara Nugzar Surmanidze.

In the framework of cooperation between the governments of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara and the Silesian Voivodeship, in August 2015, a rheumatologist and a laboratory assistant visited the Ustron Hospital for Rheumatology and Rehabilitation in the Silesian Voivodeship to exchange experiences. The two-week course of study included theoretical and practical lessons.
In 2011-2013, seven doctors and one nurse from Adjara medical institutions completed an internship at the Heart Disease Center in the city of Zabrze in Silesia, Poland.
In 2013, the director of the Adjara Cancer Center paid a study visit to the Polish Cancer Center.
In 2014, a Polish rehabilitation specialist visited the Batumi Rehabilitation Center for People with Disabilities to train Georgian colleagues.
