In Batumi, in the settlement of Tamar, a Rehabilitation Center of Family Medicine was opened. The official opening of the center was attended by Chairman of the Government of Adjara Zurab Pataradze, Minister of Health and Social Affairs of Adjara Levan Gorgiladze and mayor of the city Giorgi Ermakov. “Georgian Dream” – representatives of “Democratic Georgia” was also invited to the opening of the medical center – Eka Beselia, Nugzar Surmanidze, Pati Khalvashi.
The head of the center, Mikheil Artmeladze, showed the guests the renovated building, including the genetic laboratory in the center, which is the only laboratory working in this direction in Western Georgia. Radiology and ultrasound rooms will also function at the Tamar Rehabilitation Center of Family Medicine.
It should be noted that the old building of the center was purchased in the form of a conditional auction from the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Adjara by a private investor for 931,000 GEL and an investment of up to 300,000 GEL was made.
The existing building was reconstructed, one floor was additionally arranged, major repairs were carried out, and medical equipment and computer equipment were updated. In addition to outpatient services, new medical services have been added to the medical center; 18 additional jobs were created. At this stage, the center employs about 80 people.
About 12,000 beneficiaries are insured under the primary health care program at the Rehabilitation Center of Family Medicine of Tamar settlement. The center serves up to 4,000 patients monthly.
