Taking care of your health, safety and comfort is the key task of the medical centre personnel.
Your rights as a patient are based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and are regulated by the legislation of Georgia (Constitution of Georgia, Laws of Georgia “ Law of Georgia on Health Care“, “ Law of Georgia on Patient Rights“, “ Law on Medical Practice “), as well as by the Medical Centre LLC’s internal order “On protection of the rights of patients of the medical centre”
In our clinic, you as a patient have the right:
- to get acquainted in advance and use all the granted rights without restriction;
- demand respect for your dignity, traditions, religion and personal values, to be treated with courtesy and respect;
- to get information about the existing resources of medical services and the types of their delivery, fees and payment forms;
- to employ high-quality medical services;
- to have clear and comprehensive information about your diagnosis, planned treatment and the progress of the medicinal process;
- to ensure that you or your family member(s) are involved in the decision-making process related to treatment;
- to receive information about the results of the conducted medical examinations, as well as about the intended medical services, alternative options, their associated risks and possible effectiveness;
- to preserve the confidentiality of personal information related to your medical care;
- to be protected the confidentiality of your medical records (both soft and hardcopy versions);
- to receive complete and comprehensive information about the rules of conduct established by the medical centre towards patients;
- to refuse to receive any specific or general medical services and to receive comprehensive information about the consequences of this;
- to express your dissatisfaction and/or make comments about the services provided. Do not think that this will negatively affect your future treatment.
- To request a written response.
- to request that your family member/legal representative be provided with information about your visit to the medical centre, or vice versa, that such information not be provided to them;
- to rrequest the information about your visit to the medical centre not be disclosed;
- to use various means of communication, including telephone, e-mail, meeting with visitors, except in cases when your attending doctor believes that this will interfere with the treatment and recovery process;
- to request a copy of your medical documentation;
- to get adequate treatment for pain control.

Medcentre is proud of its tradition of delivering high-quality medical services and its experience in creating a comfortable environment for the patient, adapted to individual needs.
We know that close cooperation between the patient and the medical team is necessary to achieve the common goal – efficient service and maximum outcome as a result of treatments delivered. In order for the patient to better understand his share of responsibility for ensuring the quality of his own medical care, the Medcentre provides patients with information and awareness of their responsibility.
For improving the quality of your health condition and achieve a satisfactory result, we need to work together. So please:
- provide us with accurate and complete information about previous illnesses, hospitalizations and surgeries, medications used, bad habits and other issues related to your health;
- Cooperate with your care giving staff and feel free to ask questions about the information provided or any other matter related to your treatment;
- Help the doctor, nurse and other medical staff to provide you with services according to standards and guidelines. You should recognize that you are also responsible for your own actions, in case of refusal of treatment or violation of doctor’s instructions;
- Follow the rules and regulations established by the Medcentre, and also ensure that your visitors follow them;
- Consider the interests of other patients, and make sure that your visitors consider those interests as well. Many visitors or excessive noise may be very disturbing to other patients.
- Arrive at the appointment with the doctor on time. And if you are not able to conduct the visit, please call the medical centre in advance and notify your doctor.
- Respect and take care of your own, other people’s and Medcentre’s property;
- Take precautions to protect your personal belongings and cooperate with Medcentre staff to do so. Please leave valuables at home or give them to family members for safekeeping. Certain personal items may be misplaced when you are transferred from one ward to another, so if you feel that you must bring them with you during your stay in the medical centre, please ask your nurse to ensure that they are temporarily stored in a safe.
- Ensure compliance with treatment recommendations/plans prescribed by the doctor and notify him of any changes after discharge from the medical centre;
- Tell your nurse or doctor if you have pain;
- Timely pay the fee for the medical services provided and provide information for the process of dealing with insurance companies.
- Feel free to ask questions about your service account, if such raises;
If you have items with you that need to be plugged in/connected to power, please ask your nurse to ensure their safe operation.
